Summer Theatre Camp

Performances August 5, 6, 7, 12, and 13

Elementary, middle school, and high school students needed! Rehearsals will be held Monday-Friday 4:00-7:00, July 11-August 5. Five mandatory performances will be held August 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:00, August 7 at 2:00. Participation fee is $25 per week (includes snacks and two complimentary tickets to a performance).

Where Main St. Meets the MountainsWhere Main St. Meets the MountainsThe McDowell County Quilt Trail Program is sponsored by the McDowell Arts Council Association. Their base of operations/studio is located in the Historic McDowell House. The trail program began in June 2009 as part of a grassroots interest to extend the Quilt Trail of Western North Carolina to McDowell County.

Regional Artist Project Grant (RAP-G)

The Regional Artist Project Grant provides financial support to a wide variety of artists exhibiting exceptional talent in an effort to assist them and their professional career. This grant is intended to fund a particular project that will take place 2016/2017. Applications and guidelines available August/September 2016. Grant due TBA.

NC Grassroots Grant

The Historic Carson HouseThe Historic Carson HouseThe N.C. Arts Council created the Grassroots Arts Program to increase the state's already growing number of local arts councils and to help establish North Carolina as a leader in the national community arts movement. Grassroots funds support the arts council and local arts organizations.

Mountain Arts Program
